Each altimeter is hand built and subjected to a series of three tests in both pressure and vacuum chambers. Our instruments of reference (altimeters for airplanes and Mercury columns) are controlled 6 months by a certified organization.
Each altimeter is provided with a list of technical specifications, drawn up to the standards required by the military.

Our dials, including the black and the superlight, all undergo anti light reflection treatment.
The exterior casing of our altimeters is aluminum (material that allies the qualities of strength, lightness and is anti corrosive). The standard colors are obtained by anodization (a chemical procedure of anodic oxidation). For some of the Special Series color is obtained by use of high temperature paint (epoxy resin). For military models the NATO agreed color is produced by this method.
The FT50 has been reputed for its robustness, reliability, precision and simplicity, for more than 20 years. It is used everywhere that Parachuting is practiced as a sport. Parachute instructors recommend the FT50 for their students and use the FT60 themselves. The French Army has adopted the FT60 and the FT50 and FT60 are used by numerous military groups around the world.
After Sales Service :
VIPLO offers 2 yeards guarantee for the mechanism of its altimeters as well as the dial, its needle and the exterior metallic parts (case, back plate and setting wheel) under conditions of normal use of the altimeter and under reserve that the altimeter has not been opened or tampered with.
Our customer service is available for any problem. You will be responsible for reshipping costs depending on the weight and destination.
